The End of Belief

Enlightenment is the end of our belief in something called enlightenment. When I say this I don't mean there is no associated experience or knowing available. I just mean that the lofty, spiritualized notion of enlightenment itself, the very idea of someone on a path toward an imagined future destination called that, is nothing more than the belief there could be something other than just this. That's the dream. Awakening is not a new realization or belief. That would just be another dream. Rather, it's the end of our ability to realize or believe anything at all. That is not nearly as fun or fantastic as we imagined, which is why we're so good at not finding it by dreaming it to be something that's not already just this. 🌌
